This Programme offers a perfect balance of operations and academics with hands-on training towards cruise services. It is designed for individuals who aspire to begin a career in cruise hospitality management or would like to assume greater responsibilities in the tourism & hospitality sector but seek professional training to formally recognize their skills. Participants will acquire an integrated knowledge of the best industry practices and the operation of cruise. It covers a variety of content, which includes hands-on practicum, practical placement, career preparation, and English language modules.

The objective is to enable prospective students to gain a thorough understanding of this unique and niche employment area and have a critical awareness of the issues that underpin best practice. This diploma ensures that the students develop vocationally relevant managerial skills needed for cruise employment. It englobes real world exposure and hand-on practical through work-based learning. Students who complete this programme will be well-rounded and prepared to thrive in a career in hospitality and cruises.

Entry Requirements:

  • Complete TAC application form
  • Submit photo ID (passport preferred)
  • Submit official copy of secondary school results: Transcripts, O-level results, or A-level results
Note: Students may apply by uploading soft copies of documents but must provide original hard copies upon acceptance into a degree program.

This Higher Education Commission (HEC), Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA) and Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) accredited program is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the Cruise Line Hospitality and Tourism Industry.

Course Structure

The structure of the Level 4 Diploma is made up of 14 units which the learner must complete to achieve the qualification.

  • Restaurant Setting and Management
  • Alternate Communication in the T & H Services (Spanish)

Practical Training / Internship Placement, include on-going assessment by faculty and supervisors of student skills and ongoing student evaluation of their experiences. Professional Development including CV preparation, job interviewing skills and networking opportunities.
