Advisors are an important part of your educational experience. They’ll assist you from the beginning to the end of your time at TAC in the following ways:
- Understanding the sequence of classes and class requirements
- Avoiding and overcoming academic problems
- Identifying activities that will expand overall educational experience
We encourage new and prospective students to meet with an advisor as one of the first steps of their educational experiences. All students should continue to work closely with their advisor(s) throughout their time at TAC to receive help and guidance.
Academic and Career Advising
Technology
We focus on the use of technology both in the classrooms and virtually in order to optimize learning. In coordination with our academic partners in the United States, we will provide our students with some of the most sophisticated technology for use in higher education. Students will be provided with a TAC email account through Outlook, and they will have access to Office365, including Microsoft Office Download, OneDrive cloud storage, SharePoint for collaboration, Yammer, Sway and more.
All classrooms are equipped with the latest technology and comprehensive projection systems. TAC’s computer laboratory/study area gives students access to specialized computer software and high-speed Internet services. Students can bring their own computers and connect to high-speed internet, or use TAC computers on to complete assignments.
Canvas LMS
Classes at The American Campus are hosted on the online learning platform, Canvas. Canvas facilitates in person learning by providing a location for them to submit assignments, track deadlines, view content, message teachers/classmates, and more!
All of our courses are hosted in the Learning Management (LMS) called Canvas. Canvas allows students to easily access their courses, grades, and message their professors. Canvas has a desktop version, as well as a mobile app for Android and Apple.

Student Work Space
The campus library has open learning and collaborative spaces, which will be equipped with tables, chairs, and sofas to promote student interaction and group work, but also to facilitate individual study.
TAC students will have access to an extensive virtual library that will include e-books, magazines, and journals. We also provide a physical library that will contain a selected number of books that are pertinent to TAC academic programs.
In addition to a technology-enabled space, we provide comfortable and bright collaborative and private study areas for students.
