Williams is a licensed psychotherapist and university instructor. He provided psychotherapy and taught family-related classes in California for 19 years before moving to Idaho to teach courses in the Department of Home and Family at Brigham Young University–Idaho. He has worked to develop online tools and processes for teaching applications of personal and interpersonal skills. He studied Sociology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Relations at Brigham Young University before earning a master’s degree from Loma Linda University.
