Emeritus Professor of Agriculture and International Development at Utah State University, Dr. Thomas has extensive experience in educational development in foreign countries. At USU, he was the Director of International Programs, International Agriculture Specialist, Plant Science Department Head, and Associate Dean of Agriculture. He also served as the Senior Advisor to the President for the creation of the new Arab American University of Jenin (West Bank). In AAUJ’s 14 years, it has grown to over 7,500 students, 6 colleges, and 3 graduate programs. Dr. Thomas holds BS and MS degrees from USU, and a Ph.D. from the University of Alberta, Canada.
